A Wonderland Circus

A return to Wonderland like youve never seen it before.

You don't want to be late!

Almost a decade has passed since Alice's initial visits to Wonderland and it all seems like a distant wild dream. Nowadays her young adult life is filled with finals, college applications, job searches, and the pressures of adulthood.

Overwhelmed by her life choices she lets her mind wander to its childlike state and finds herself slipping right back down the rabbit hole once more and landing smack dab in the middle of the "Tweedle Bros Traveling Circus: The Greatest Show in Wonderland."

At first she finds herself struggling to fit in with the freaks and misfits and finds the skills to be next to impossible, but with a little love and guidance from her circus family, she soons finds her home under the big top and realizes that growing up doesnt mean becoming boring, and running away to join the circus may not be so mad of an idea

Traditional Circus Skills

Wonderland has become a playground for the circus world, now filled with jugglers, unicyles, stilts, aerialists, side show performers, and freaks and geeks of all varieties. Find out what circus skills your favorite characters have picked up in this new exciting world.

A Spectacle of Lights

Wonderland itself is a dazzling world of light and sounds, so our characters have developed a variety of costumes and props in order to stand out. Let them hypnotize you with their expert light manipulation and lure you into the manic parts of Wonderland.

Roaming Interactive Characters

Don't get too comfortable in your seats, because its quite possible you will be joined by some very recognizable characters. The VIP section will be filled with little surprise visits from your favorite Wonderland characters dropping in for tea or other shenanigans.

Wonderous Theatrical Numbers

Beyond just the circus, Down the Rabbit Hole is a full collaboration and platform for local theater and dance troupes to show off their skills. So much talent crammed into one show it will be sure to drive you mad.

Katie Otten is an actor, voice over talent, educator, director, and model based in Omaha, NE. She has a Master of Arts in Theatre Performance from the University of Nebraska - Omaha.When she's not working, she can often be found drinking bubble tea and playing old school video games.

Jenna Janssen--Pidgeon

Jenna is a multimedia artist based out of Omaha, whose skills range from acting to sculpting to writing. She's always plotting her next creative idea to be brought into the world through the arts. A current student at the University of Nebraska-Omaha while maintaining the working life of an artist.

Victor Chavez--White Rabbit

Acting in films as a child in NYC, and taking theatre classes while pursuing a B.S. and then an M.S. in Clinical Psychology, Victor is always busy. And somehow... always a little late.

Zoë Ann Watch--The Hatter

Zoë graduated Reed College with a degree in Theatre. Some of her recent work includes the lead role of That Girl in the devised work ‘To Be Seen’ where she wrote songs for her and the cast members. She has been a stand-in for Maureen in Hulu’s hit comedy ‘Shrill’ and she also writes and performs ASMR comedic shorts for TikTok under the name @cloudninezoe.

Marlowe Mapes--Red Queen

Marlowe Mapes is an actor, poet, comic, and model from Omaha, Nebraska. She is best known for her work with The Samurai of Spoken Word troupe as well as a handful of local open mic groups, film, and television projects. She took a break from performance for a few years to focus on a career in healthcare, and is so genuinely delighted to be back to the stage!

Justin Jopp--Caterpillar

Justin Jopp is new to the stage but not new to the passion and the stories that make him live his life! He is ready to show the world the acting ability he has always known was inside him. Representing our Caterpillar in this project! He is going to Sissy That Walk as the most fabulous Caterpillar in Wonderland history makes their grand debut!!

Cirque Performers

Colter Bowers

Norsefyre Troupe leader Colter Bowers is a lifetime martial artist who decided to run away and join the circus. He has toured as far as Beijing showing off his fire weapon proficiency. Most well known for his work with swords, he is also well versed in whips, rope dart, and the dreaded sanjiengun. When not rooted in the earth he is an experienced aerialist, specializing in dynamic beats and drops and partner acrobatics.

Brittini Gottner

Dizzyraye aka Brittini Gottner r is a fiery blind performer out of Nebraska! You can find her flying through the air either solo or with a partner in her lyra or dropping, tumbling and spinning in her aerial hammock! But she doesn’t stop there! When she finds her feet on the ground , she is dancing and spinning thru the flames or lights of her sacred circle! Finding her home in her hula hoop!

Katie Jo

Katie is a high flying daredevil aerialist from Nebraska. She specializes in flips, tricks, and drops. She’s always looking for the next new daring trick. She is well versed in all aerial apparatuses but specializes in static trapeze and loves to create partner acts on hammock and Lyra. She also dabbles with fire and flow props.

Cthulhu Kaos

Crawling out of the boiling bog it calls home, The Creature: Cthulhu Kaos of Christ (it/it’s) is a nonbinary circus artist. Additionally they own Cthulhu Kaos Pole Arts at Reformed Studio and Assembly Space, offering inclusive private pole lessons to the Omaha area. Just kicking off their performing career in 2022, Cthulhu belongs to Norsefyre Traveling Circus.

Emily Mackenzie

Born in California & living in Iowa today! Her ambitions have brought her to our glorious show to share her many talents with us!
After a childhood spent in competitive dance, state choirs, theater & eventually placing in an National talent competition in Florida, she attended Iowa School of Beauty, & took to bigger stages & learned skills such as Flow Arts, Fire, Burlesque & continued her passions in costume design- Winning various Pageants & Contests!
Now a Published Midwest Model & Mother of two children, who plans to get back into live entertainment! We are thrilled to be adding her this season to our traveling circus team!

Sara Su

Sara Su is a multi-arts performer whose main background is bellydance. She has been a bellydancer performing in the Midwest for 12 years in multiple dance troupes and a soloist in different styles of the art. Sara Su also loves all kinds of flow arts and prop manipulation dance with specialties in hoops and silk fans. On top of it all, she is a performing member of a Taiko (Japanese drumming) group out of Lincoln, NE and has been inspired by her fellow circus friends to start her training in aerial arts.

Molly Kay is a rising aerial performer from Nebraska know for spinning around the world in her aerial sphere and her dynamic doubles hammock acts with her sister Katie. Molly is a dedicated artist who is constantly working to improve her performance and style. She is excited to share her passion for aerial arts with the world and is eager to see where her aerial journey will take her next.

An experienced aerial-fire-dance performer & teacher, Laura Lockton has found that both for herself and others, body movement and performing arts have profound benefits beyond physical health. It is this holistic healing which creates joy, confidence and balance that fuels her passion for aerial arts and yoga.In 2017, Laura founded ReKinection, a performance troupe and conscious event production company that is a collaboration of guides, performers, musicians and artists conspiring to inspire people to achieve their ultimate potential.

Nikki began crooning out operatic songs at an early age of 10. She made a daring move at the age of 21 when she started the belting singing technique on various pop songs and Broadway show tunes. Her recent indie films include The Mystery of the Manor and Schroediner's Cat. She also performs the National Anthem for various sporting events. One of her many pleasures in life is getting to play the comic villain in musicals.
